Client Overview
Avida RV is a nationwide Australian manufacturer of motorhomes and campervans, based in Emu Plains, Western Sydney.
They operate in a highly competitive market, selling high value vehicles where the decision journey can take months or even years. Their website plays a critical role in brand trust, product education, and long term enquiry nurturing through dealers.
The Challenge
Avida’s previous website no longer reflected the quality or scale of their business.
It was visually dated, difficult to navigate, and inconsistent with their brand. With large national competitors investing heavily in digital, this was becoming a real disadvantage.
For a purchase of this size, trust is everything. Customers spend a long time researching, comparing layouts, downloading brochures, and imagining the lifestyle. The old website made that journey harder than it needed to be.
Internally, the site was also difficult to manage. Updates to vehicles, offers, and content required workarounds, and enquiry data wasn’t flowing cleanly into their systems.
They needed a modern, professional website that supported a long sales cycle, built confidence over time, and was practical for their team to manage.
The Strategy
We started with a structured discovery process.
This included deep dive sessions into the Avida business, their vehicles, how customers choose them, and what sets them apart in a crowded market. We reviewed brand documentation covering customer personas, company values, and long term goals.
We also analysed competitors, reviewed websites Avida admired, and explored inspiration across the industry.
With over 100 existing pages, content strategy was a key part of the project. Together with the client, we audited the site to determine what content still mattered, what could be consolidated, and what should be removed entirely. This allowed us to simplify the structure without losing important detail.
Before building the full site, we designed and refined key templates, including the homepage and vehicle pages, to lock in layout, hierarchy, and visual direction early.
The guiding principle was clarity and confidence. The site needed to feel considered, not overwhelming, while still showcasing the depth of the range.
The Solution
Key elements included:
- New services as the business moved into commercial and government work
- Clear navigation and page hierarchy to support long research journeys
- Enhanced vehicle layouts with strong imagery and structured information
- Content that highlights not just vehicles, but the experience of ownership
- Multiple enquiry pathways including brochure downloads, price requests, and dealer contact
- API integration so enquiries flow directly into Avida’s systems without double handling
- A flexible CMS that allows the team to update vehicles, offers, and content internally
The Outcome
While traffic volumes are influenced by multiple marketing channels, the post launch data shows a clear improvement in how users interact with the site.
Visitors are scrolling further, engaging with more content, and completing more meaningful actions. EDM sign ups increased significantly, supporting Avida’s long term nurture strategy for a high consideration purchase.
The website now acts as a strong foundation for advertising, SEO, and dealer activity, rather than a bottleneck.
Just as importantly, the Avida team now has a website they can confidently update and rely on as the business evolves.
The Takeaway
This project is a strong example of how a strategic website redesign can support complex buying journeys.
For manufacturers and high value product businesses, a website is not about quick wins. It is about trust, clarity, and staying relevant over time. When the structure, content, and experience are right, every other marketing channel works harder.
